Apple Warranty & AppleCare
Your brand new Apple device comes with a complimentary one-year Limited Warranty* against any defects in materials and workmanship. You will also have the opportunity within the first year of ownership, to extend your Warranty to a maximum of three years from date of purchase with the AppleCare Protection Plan. *More details below
When you bring your computer to TD Curran, we will check it into our service queue and begin diagnostics. Within 48 hours we will have identified the problem and can begin addressing it. If the problem is found to fall under Warranty or AppleCare you will not be charged and you will be contacted as soon as the machine is ready for pickup. If the machine is out of Warranty at the time of checkin, or if the repair is found to fall outside of Warranty coverage a $129 labor charge will apply. Once the technicians have completed the diagnostics, you will be contacted with a breakdown of parts required and the cost of repair, no further labor fees will be assessed. Labor charges are non-refundable if repair is declined.
AppleCare Protection Plan offers customers the ability to extend their warranty to three years starting at the original date of purchase. This program allows for hardware repairs to be performed on eligible machines by Apple Authorized Service Providers anywhere in the world. If you have purchased a qualifying AirPort Extreme, AirPort Express, Time Capsule, or AirPort Card, these devices qualify for service under your computers AppleCare Protection Plan as well. Customers who purchased an Apple Cinema Display with their qualifying Mac Pro or Macbook Pro will also be able to extend coverage to these devices with their AppleCare Protection Plan. In addition to these great hardware services, the AppleCare Protection Plan also extends the limited 90-day phone support to unlimited 3-year service for any Apple related software or hardware support issues.
AppleCare Protection Plan is also available for iPod iPhone and iPad products. This service extends the Warranty out two years from original date of purchase, and allows for unlimited phone support as opposed to the included one support incident.
To initiate an AppleCare or Warranty repair, simply bring your Mac to TD Curran, no appointment necessary, and we will begin the diagnostic process. Once the service is complete, usually within two-to-four business days, we will call you when it is ready to be picked up. There is no charge for parts or labor on issues that fall under Warranty or AppleCare agreements. Items that will void your agreement and incur fees include, but are not limited to, software troubleshooting, liquid damage of any amount, drops or other accidental damage, third party alterations/modifications, or any foreign objects jammed in CD drives or the SD card slot, the USB, Firewire, Headphone, or Ethernet ports.

We are usually able to lookup your Warranty or AppleCare eligibility with just your serial number, but in rare cases we may require proof of purchase or your AppleCare Agreement number.
